Anime Zero Weapon Tier List (Update 5)

Anime Zero Update 5 weapon tier list: Absolute Illusion, Crimson Eclipse, Ye-0, Solar Radiance and Astral Blossom lead, with how each top weapon is obtained.

10/31/2026 Update 5 Last updated: 10/31/2026 4 min read

Last checked: October 31, 2026, against the October 27, 2026 Update 5 tier list and the October 28, 2026 Anime Zero wiki update log. Tier lists change with patches, and sources disagree on the exact S versus A split. The top eight below are the same set across the Update 5 lists checked; only their S/A boundary moves.

What are the best weapons in Anime Zero Update 5?

The best weapons in Update 5 are Absolute Illusion, Crimson Eclipse, Ye-0, Solar Radiance, and Astral Blossom in S tier, followed by Inferno Prince, Silver Calamity, and Shadow Monarch in A tier. Astral Blossom is a support weapon, so equip her in your second slot alongside a strong damage main, rather than using her as your main damage dealer.

S tier: invest here first

  • Absolute Illusion (Aizen, Celestial, summon-only): The Update 5 headline weapon, with a 25-second awakened kit. Its Celestial pity is reported as 7,000 spins in one tier list, while another wiki shows a 7,500-spin counter in the Arsenal, so check the in-game counter before planning pulls around either number. See Update 5 for the full Aizen breakdown.
  • Crimson Eclipse (Chisa, Life, crafted): A multi-hit melee weapon that received ultimate buffs and can out-damage Ye-0 in some cases. Craft it from Tidal High-Rise materials, including Shear Fragments, Crimson Ribbons, and Thread Chokers. Exact material counts differ between lists and by difficulty, so confirm the recipe in game before farming.
  • Ye-0, also listed as Void Arbiter (Trials): A high-damage weapon obtained from Trials Floor 200, with a reworked six-hit basic-attack combo and basic-attack protection in Update 5.
  • Solar Radiance (Cha Hae-In, Life, Evil Reflection): Obtained by defeating your evil twin in Evil Reflection. It has powerful sword attacks, some with a second activation, and a duo ultimate with Shadow Lord.
  • Astral Blossom (Astra Yao, support, Trials Floor 75+ co-op): The best support in the game at Update 5. Every ability activation gives your team a damage and movement speed buff, which is why she is especially valuable in your second slot.

A tier: strong, just below the top five

Inferno Prince (Rin), Silver Calamity (Frieren), and Shadow Monarch all sit in A tier in the October 27 Update 5 list, while another list puts all three in S tier. Treat that as a boundary disagreement, not a different meta: all three are worth developing, and Shadow Monarch pairs well with Astral Blossom as support.

B tier: usable, do not over-invest

Mochi Commander, Cursed King, Flame Director, Cataclysm, Dragon Eclipse, and Divine Emperor are usable progression and budget options. Cursed King was the best non-Lyth damage weapon in the older meta, and Cataclysm and Flame Director topped early lists, but Update 4 Life weapons and Update 5 Trials weapons have outranked them since. Keep a developed one while you farm a top-eight weapon, rather than maxing it first.

C tier and below: progression only

Epic starters Rubber Man, Cosmic Warrior, and Thunder Prodigy, Legendary weapons Kings Gambit and Twisted Agony, and Mythic weapons Lights of Divinity and Immortal Sovereign are progression weapons. Use them to clear Story and farm, then replace them. Do not spend scarce rerolls chasing a perfect trait on a weapon you plan to replace, as explained in the trait tier list and the beginner guide.

How do I get a top weapon without wasting spins?

First, redeem the newest codes on the Anime Zero codes page for spins and rerolls. Second, keep your current developed main while you farm a specific route, such as Tidal High-Rise for Crimson Eclipse or Evil Reflection for Solar Radiance, instead of pulling blindly. Third, check the Update 5 page after every patch, because a balance change can move a weapon a full tier overnight in Early Access.
