Anime Zero Trait Tier List (Update 5)
Anime Zero trait tier list: Deadeye and Supernova lead for damage, Fortune leads for farming, with full bonuses, roll chances, and reroll advice.
Last checked: October 31, 2026. There are 18 traits in Anime Zero. The damage ranking below is consistent across the lists checked, while Fortune moves between S and lower tiers depending on whether a list ranks damage or farming, so this page splits those two jobs explicitly.
What are the best traits in Anime Zero?
Deadeye and Supernova are the best damage traits, Ferocity and Sniper are the best alternatives, and Fortune is the best farming trait. For long boss fights, Deadeye is stronger because its critical hits build up over the fight. For fast farming and level clears, Supernova is better because of its attack speed and cooldown reduction.
S tier: damage
- Deadeye (Mythical, 0.01% roll chance): +20% Damage, +5% Crit Chance, +50% Crit Damage. The strongest pure damage trait, especially in longer modes where crits have time to add up.
- Supernova (Mythical, 0.01% roll chance): +24% Damage, +12% Cooldown Reduction, +20% Attack Speed, +3 Walk Speed. The best all-round combat trait, and the better pick when you are racing through stages rather than maximising single-target damage.
S tier: farming, not damage
- Fortune (12.63% roll chance): +25% Coins, +20% XP, +20% Drop Rate. This is the best trait for farming resources, not for raw combat damage. Some lists put Fortune in S tier and some put it lower, and both are right for different jobs: use Fortune on a farming weapon, not on your boss weapon.
A tier: excellent alternatives
- Ferocity (Legendary, 0.04% roll chance): +18% Damage, +8% Cooldown Reduction, +14% Attack Speed, +2 Walk Speed. A balanced damage trait and a strong interim option while you chase Deadeye or Supernova.
- Sniper (Legendary, 0.04% roll chance): +12% Crit Chance, +15% Crit Damage, +8% Attack Speed. A strong critical-hit setup, especially when you already have crit damage from elsewhere.
B tier: solid mid-game traits
- Hunter (1.83% roll chance): +10% Damage, +5% Cooldown Reduction, +10% Attack Speed, +1 Walk Speed.
- Overkill (1% roll chance): +40% Crit Damage. Huge damage spikes once you already have enough Crit Chance, weaker on its own.
- Razor Focus (1% roll chance): +13% Crit Chance. Useful for making crits more consistent, with no direct damage bonus on its own.
C tier and D tier: reroll, with one exception
C tier is Power 3 (+8% Damage), Swift 3 (+12% Attack Speed, +1 Walk Speed), Focus 3 (+10% Cooldown Reduction), and Vitality (+25% Max Health). D tier is Power 2, Power 1, Swift 2, Swift 1, Focus 2, and Focus 1, which are placeholder stats that do not compete at any stage. Reroll D-tier traits immediately, and treat C-tier traits as temporary unless the weapon itself is a top-tier weapon from the weapon tier list.
How do I reroll traits, and when should I stop?
Reroll traits at the Enchants station in the hub, spending one Enchant Crystal per roll, using Trait Rerolls from the Anime Zero codes page and in-game milestones. Stop rerolling once you have Deadeye for bosses, Supernova for farming, or Ferocity or Sniper on a weapon you will keep, because the 0.01% S-tier traits are chase picks, not first-week expectations. Check the beginner guide and the Update 5 page before spending a large reroll stockpile after a patch, since trait values can shift with balance changes.
