Anime Zero Beginner Guide

Anime Zero beginner guide: redeem codes first, roll a Legendary pair, fill both slots, then clear Story.

10/31/2026 Update 5 Last updated: 10/31/2026 2 min read

Last checked: October 30, 2026. This is a starter guide for Anime Zero in Update 5. Weapon rankings and pity numbers change with patches, so check the Update 5 page for the current meta before spending a large number of spins.

What should I do in my first Anime Zero session?

Redeem codes first, roll a playable Legendary pair, fill both Arsenal slots, then clear Story. That order matters: codes give you spins, gems, coins, and rerolls without grinding, a Legendary pair gives you a usable moveset, and Story clears unlock the progression that makes later farming efficient.

How do Anime Zero weapons work?

Anime Zero weapons are your character, moveset, and identity in one. You summon them at the Arsenal with spins, each weapon comes with a four-move kit, and you equip two at once, swapping mid-dungeon for a damage window. Lucky Spins raise your chances at higher rarities, but they do not remove pity: Mythic, Arcane, and Celestial pulls are long-term targets, not first-session expectations.

What traits should beginners target?

Target Deadeye or Supernova for damage, Ferocity as a strong interim option, and Fortune for farming coins, XP, and drop rate. Deadeye favours crit-heavy burst, Supernova trades burst for attack speed and cooldown reduction, and Fortune is the specialised farming choice even though it sits below the top combat traits. Do not spend all of your Trait Rerolls on a weapon you will replace tomorrow.

What are the biggest beginner mistakes?

The biggest mistakes are burning Lucky Spins on Celestial pity before you have a developed main, spending Trait Rerolls on a filler weapon, and leaving one Arsenal slot empty. Keep a developed main while you work on its replacement, and keep a developed farmer while you gather awakening materials for a new weapon like Aizen in Update 5.

Where do I get free spins and rerolls?

The fastest free source is the Anime Zero codes page, especially the newest codes POTENTIAL and ANEWCHAPTER, plus the large payouts from FORGIVEUSPLEASE and 50KCCU. Check the level gates on that page first, because several codes require Level 25, Level 35, or Level 50, and a code that looks broken may simply be level-locked for your character.
